We were so pleased to welcome so many Johnians to our London Christmas Drinks earlier this month. With the bubbly flowing and Christmas tunes in full swing, we enjoyed a wonderful evening celebrating the start of the festive season.

Alumni Mike Smith (1972) and Peter Stickland (1972) caught up with The Eagle Editor, Ellie Collingwood, to discuss what student life in College was like in the early 1970s.

Dorien Braam (2018) is Director and Principal Consultant at Praxis Labs and has recently completed a PhD at St John’s. Here she tells us about her experiences of working in international development and shares her current research priorities.

Sofia Voutsaki (1984) is Professor of Greek Archaeology at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. She tells us about the Ayios Vasileios project and how archaeology can inform our understanding of the present.

Following an impressive Lent term for The Lady Margaret Boat Club is hoping to resurrect the termly LMBC newsletter, to be sent out to all alumni who were a part of the Boat Club during their time at St John’s.
