Join Dr Eve Houghton (2024) for a fascinating online talk exploring one of the most celebrated books in literary history: the First Folio. Published in 1623, this landmark volume brought together the collected plays of William Shakespeare for the first time, preserving many works that might otherwise have been lost.

In this fascinating online talk, Professor Sara Lodge uncovers the hidden history of Victorian England’s female detectives - pioneering figures who operated undercover, tracked down thieves, and assisted the police by searching female suspects at a time when male officers could not.
