Family Formal Hall and Film

Have you told your children stories about Formal Hall? This is an opportunity to let them experience it for themselves.

Join fellow Johnians, family members and friends on Saturday 7 November for a family lunch in Hall, followed by a film screening.

The afternoon begins with Grace in Hall, followed by a three-course lunch. Adults will enjoy the standard Formal Hall menu, while children will be served a separate children’s menu. Wine and soft drinks will be served with the meal. You are most welcome to wear a gown if you’d like to do so.

Afterwards, we’ll move to the Palmerston Room for a screening of the award-winning The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005). The film score composer is Harry Gregson-Williams, a former St John’s Chorister. Popcorn and drinks will be available during the film.

*Please note that this film is rated PG. This means a film is suitable for general viewing, but some scenes may be unsuitable for very young children.*

If you’d like to extend your day in College, you are also welcome to stay for Evensong in Chapel at 6.30pm.

Book your place using the form below.

We look forward to seeing you and your family there!
