Alumni relations note

As many of you know, the Alumni Relations Team has undergone some changes in the past few months. After nearly two years as the St John’s Donor Relations Officer, I stepped into the role of Head of Alumni Relations in July. I’m incredibly grateful for the commitment and professionalism of my predecessor, Susannah Rose, and Diana Cadete, our former Events Officer. They have both been dearly missed since they left Cambridge. We are thrilled to have a new Events Officer, Shannon O’Shea, who brings a wealth of experience and fresh ideas to the team. Ellie Collingwood’s role has been expanded to include overseeing the Johnian website, boosting engagement between alumni and current students, and re-launching our mentoring programme. Susan Burnett continues to support Alumni Relations in countless ways, and it’s a privilege to have such talented colleagues.

Looking ahead, we’ll be offering the alumni community more in-person and virtual events, networking, mentoring, publications and digital engagement. We recognise that St John’s played an important role in your life as a student, and we hope these opportunities strengthen your relationship with the College and with each other. As always, we value your input and suggestions. If you’re back in College, please pop by D staircase in Second Court to say hello – we would love to see you!
