Larmor Award Dinner 2026
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the reunion of Larmor Award holders on Saturday 12 September in College.
As you know, the Larmor Award is presented to students in recognition of their ‘intellectual qualifications, moral conduct and practical activities’ during their time in College and, within the last eight decades, more than 250 exceptional individuals have received the award.
The programme for the day starts at 3.30pm with afternoon tea and live music in the atmospheric Senior Combination Room. At 4.30pm we will make our way to the Main Lecture Theatre in the Old Divinity School for an afternoon lecture. Our speaker is still being finalised, so please keep an eye out for further announcements.
In the evening, there will be a champagne drinks reception in the newly landscaped River Court from 7pm, followed by dinner in Hall at 7.45pm, topped off with chocolates, cheese and port.
If you matriculated in or after 2016, you and your guest will be able to benefit from a reduced ticket price for the dinner.
The College has a limited stock of accommodation available to Johnians attending the Dinner at a reasonable cost, including a small number of twin rooms for those who would like to share with a friend attending the dinner. Rooms will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Breakfast is served in the Buttery on Sunday morning from 8-10am. Please use event code provided in your invitation to book a room in College.
The reunion will be a very special opportunity to visit the College and share your memories with fellow Larmor Award holders. The Master is especially looking forward to welcoming you back as recipients of this prestigious award.
