Winter Warmer 2024

The Master of St John’s College, Heather Hancock, is delighted to invite you to the Winter Warmer event on Sunday 8 December. We want to thank you for your donations over the last year to St John’s by inviting you to mulled wine and mince pies in the Old Music Room with a festive concert by the Gents of St. John’s.

Programme

3.00pm-5.00pm: Old Music Room; Enjoy a mulled wine, hot chocolate and mince pies in the Old Music Room while there is a festive concert.

The Gents of St John’s

Described by BBC Music Magazine as “an immaculately blended, responsive, interactive consort,” the Gents of St John’s is a professional vocal ensemble made up of the lower voices of the Choir of St John’s College, Cambridge. As members of the College Choir, the Gents sing seven services a week under the direction of Christopher Gray, developing the full, warm, expressive sound for which both the Choir and the Gents are famous. The Gents of St John’s are particularly noted for their versatility, with a repertoire ranging from early sacred music and folk songs to more modern close-harmony arrangements of jazz standards, pop classics, and contemporary hits.

Bookings for this event is now closed.
