‘Dyslexia, Rhythm, Language and the Developing Brain’ with Professor Usha Goshwami
Professor Goswami is a St John’s Fellow and a leading researcher in Cognitive Developmental Neuroscience at the University. She is the founder and Director of the world’s first Centre for Neuroscience in Education, and she has received multiple awards including the Fellowship of The Royal Society, the CBE honour and the Yidan Prize (awarded for research excellence in education). Professor Goswami will guide us through her research on the importance of children’s awareness of linguistic rhythm patterns for their reading acquisition and how this process is impaired in children with dyslexia.
