50th Anniversary Dinner – matriculation year 1974

The Master of St John’s College, Heather Hancock (1984), is delighted to invite Johnians who matriculated in 1974 to a dinner in College on Saturday 21 September 2024 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their matriculation.

You are more than welcome to bring a guest to this dinner and accommodation will be available for you and your guest. Rooms will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis, and although we are unable to guarantee twin or single occupancy rooms, we will do our very best to meet your requests in order to make your stay in College as comfortable as possible.

Drinks will be served from 7pm on the Paddock next to New Court Cloisters for dinner in Hall at 7.45pm. Dress code for the evening is black tie, and gowns are not required.

There will be a service of Choral Evensong in Chapel on Saturday evening at 6pm, sung by members of the Rodolfus Foundation that is being hosted by the College. This service will finish at 6.45pm allowing guests time to attend pre-dinner drinks. Holy Communion will be held at 8.30am on Sunday morning and will finish shortly after 9am.

Breakfast is served in the Buttery on Sunday morning from 8am to 10am.

Upon arrival, table plans for the Dinner and room keys can be collected from the Porters’ Lodge on Northampton Street. Parking will be available on the College Playing Fields off Queen’s Road.

This occasion is increasingly popular and it may be necessary for the College to maintain a reserve list. The earlier you can respond, the better: please confirm your acceptance using the online booking form below by Monday 26 August. The College will acknowledge acceptances.

Please contact FellowsSteward@joh.cam.ac.uk with any questions.

If you intend on bringing a guest, please fill in the sections #1 with your details and #2 with your guest’s details.
