Guests

The seating capacity in Hall is currently reduced. We trust you will understand that we are therefore unable to welcome guests of Johnians to the Dinner.

Dress code

Black tie or equivalent, gowns not required.

Accommodation

The College has a limited stock of accommodation available to Johnians attending the dinner. Rooms will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and, if necessary, a reserve list will be operated. Early replies are therefore encouraged where possible.

50th Anniversary Dinner – matriculation year 1971

The Master of St John’s College, Heather Hancock (1984), is delighted to invite Johnians who matriculated in 1971 to a dinner in College on Saturday 18 September 2021 to celebrate the 50^th anniversary of their matriculation.

Invitations have been sent either by email or post. If you matriculated in 1971 but have not received an invitation, please kindly get in touch with the Assistant to the Fellows’ Steward, Mrs Kirsten Canavan, by email: fellowssteward@joh.cam.ac.uk.

The College is implementing sensible precautions to keep members and staff safe, including social distancing at the dinner. We will continue to monitor risks and adapt our plans as needed.

Programme

4.00pm–5.30pm: Informal gathering with the Master in the Master’s Lodge.
6.00pm–6.45pm: Evening Prayer led by Revd Dr Andrew Macintosh in Chapel.
7.00pm–7.30pm: Drinks reception on the Paddocks and in the New Court Cloisters.
7.45pm: Dinner in Hall.
