Alumni Relations note

Are we entering the dawn of a new era?

These are extraordinary times for us all, and will undoubtedly be examined by historians, economists and scientists for years to come. Perhaps never before have we understood so clearly what it means to be an interconnected, global society. The current health crisis will test our values and we’ll be judged in the future on how effectively we protected the most vulnerable in our communities.

In Cambridge, the University and colleges have worked together rapidly to best protect the health of their members. This has led to unprecedented adjustments to activities and operations for the coming months, affecting teaching, examinations and research.

Thankfully, friendship and generosity have been at the heart of the Johnian community for many generations, and these are the values that will steer us through difficult waters.

Events

We are keeping an eye on changing guidelines and advice on mass gatherings both in
the UK and further afield, and our events programme is being adapted accordingly.
