50 Years since Matriculation Dinner 2026 (1976)

The Master, Heather Hancock (1984), has the great pleasure of inviting you and a guest to a Dinner in College on Saturday 19 September 2026 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of your matriculation.

Drinks will be served from 7pm on the Paddock next to New Court Cloisters for Dinner in Hall at 7.45pm. Dress code for the evening is black tie, and gowns are not required. There will be a Choral Evensong at 6pm with a visiting choir should you wish to attend beforehand.

Rooms will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, and although we are unable to guarantee twin or ensuite rooms, we will do our very best to meet your requests in order to make your stay in College as comfortable as possible. Breakfast will be served in the Buttery on Sunday morning from 8 to 10am. You can book accommodation by following the link below.

Upon arrival, table plans for the Dinner and room keys can be collected from the Northampton Street Porters’ Lodge. Parking will be available on the College Playing Fields off Queen’s Road.

This occasion is increasingly popular and it may be necessary for the College to maintain a reserve list. The earlier you can respond, the better: please confirm your acceptance using the online booking form below by Wednesday 19 August. Please ensure to complete both the dinner registration and accommodation booking forms, and any questions should be directed to FellowsSteward@joh.cam.ac.uk.

It may be of interest that the Cambridge University Alumni Festival and Johnian Society Day will also take place over the weekend of 18–20 September, offering a wide range of additional activities and sessions while you are in Cambridge. Further details will be shared in the coming months. Johnian Society Day tickets are not yet available, but we will let you know as soon as booking opens. You will then be able to purchase a ticket for the Johnian Society Dinner on Friday 18 September and to book onto the complimentary Johnian Society sessions taking place the next day, ahead of your reunion on Saturday 19 September.

In the meantime, we very much hope to see you at the Reunion Dinner on Saturday 19 September
