Rob Andrew

Rob Andrew came to St John’s in 1982. He made 17 first-class cricket appearances for the Cambridge University Cricket team in 1984 and 1985, as well as playing five times for Combined Universities in one-day cricket. He made his national debut on the rugby pitch in 1985, as fly-half for England in their winning match against Romania at Twickenham. For the next 10 years he was England's regular fly-half earning 70 caps, including 2 as captain and won the Grand Slam with England 3 times. Rob joined Newcastle Gosforth, now Falcons, in 1995 as Director of Rugby and as a player. Andrew remained at Newcastle after the end of his playing career as director of rugby until 2006 where he also served on the club board. He then joined the Rugby Football Union and was appointed Elite Rugby Director where he oversaw all aspects of the professional game in England. In 2011 he was appointed Professional Rugby Director and was a member of the RFU Board. Rob was appointed CEO of Sussex Cricket in January 2017.
