Kristian Franze

Kristian Franze is a Professor of Neuronal Mechanics at the University of Cambridge, Director of Studies in Natural Sciences (Biological) and Fellow of St John’s College, Cambridge.

Professor Franze’s research group investigates how mechanical interactions between neurons and their environment contribute to CNS development and disorder.

In 2020 Professor Franze was appointed new director of the Institute for Medical Physics and Microtissue Engineering at FAU and is one of the directors of the Max-Planck-Zentrum für Physik und Medizin (MPZPM).
