Alumni vs Students Sports Day
We’re kicking off something new, exciting and full of Johnian spirit – the very first Alumni vs Students Sports Day! Our students and alumni will go head-to-head in a friendly but fierce showdown across a range of sports. It’s all about competition, camaraderie and celebrating everything that makes sports at St John’s so special.
Players of all levels are welcome to join in the action, whether you’re a former star athlete or just love a bit of friendly rivalry. Matches will include:
– Rugby (please note that due to Varsity commitments we will be offering touch or 7s matches on this occasion, and the usual Old Boys match will still take place in March 2026)
– Men’s and Women’s Football
– Mixed Hockey
– Tennis
– Ladies Netball
…and our very own children’s sports competitions.
A timetable of the matches will be available to view nearer the time.
Not competing? Come along to cheer, catch up with friends and enjoy the atmosphere. During the afternoon we will have food trucks on site for you to purchase from.
Later in the evening we’ll continue the celebrations with a Sports Dinner in Hall. Players, alumni and supporters can come together to share stories, enjoy a meal and toast to our wonderful sporting community. (Please note that under 18s are not permitted to attend)
