Travel exhibitions and donations

Travel exhibitions

Each year the Johnian Society awards a number of travel exhibitions to allow students to travel and expand their knowledge of the world. You can read more about the background to this project here.

To show their gratitude to donors, students who have benefited from the travel exhibitions write a report about their trip or project. These reports are amalgamated to form the Travel Awards brochure, which you can read below.

Donations

At the Committee meeting held in October 2003, it was agreed to continue the support for the College's Access Exhibition Fund. A capital gift of £12,500 was made in 2001 and the Society has made further gifts of £2,000 in each year since then. In 2007 to 2008 the Society made a gift of £3,000 to support one undergraduate. The Society has also increased the support it gives to travel exhibitions, with more than £1,800 donated to the College in 2007-2008.
