Overseas Scholarships

With almost 60 nationalities represented among our student body, St John's is proud to consider itself a truly international institution. The College and its members profit enormously from this diversity, and it is our intention to uphold this tradition of cultural, social and academic exchange through a raft of new scholarships and awards for our overseas students.

We do not intent to alter the current proportion of undergraduates from overseas radically (around 15 per cent of each cohort), but we must ensure that we are able to attract the most outstanding young scholars from around the globe, particularly in light of the UK's exit from the EU and a possible drive to reduce net immigration across the board.

Our immediate areas of focus include the US, Singapore, Hong Kong, China and mainland Europe. However, providing that we are able to raise the necessary funds, there are no boundaries when it comes to finding remarkable talent. Considerable progress has been made already, with the recent creation of the Louis Singer Scholarship and Singapore Academic Award, and the upcoming launch of the Hong Kong Scholarship.
